Canon new campaign #selfieless launched in Europe, Middle East and Africa is the result of a partnership with the Red Cross. The brand invites us to create a solidarity chain on social media, through sharing photos and good deeds that we can undertake on a every day basis.
93 millions of selfies are taken every day. That’s the reason why Canon intended to put the light on generosity, altruism and the meaning of shared at the dawn of the New Year celebration.
Canon asks to everybody to do a good deed for someone, to snap it – without being on the capture- and to share it on social medias with the hashtag #selfieless, inviting friends to do the same.
For the opening of the campaign, Canon Europe donated one million euros to the European Red Cross, supporting its programs regarding the most deprived.
People as the photograph and film producer Yann Arthus-Bertrand or the fashion blogger Audrey Leighton have joined the movement, sharing the initiative.
